Stock Photography Help

copyright law web design and web development

Before I saying anything, hear this, Don't just download images off the web and use them in your website! This isn't the 90's / early 2000's anymore, if you get caught (and you will get caught) using un-licensed images you could be facing a large fine or even a larger payout from getting sued. It does happen, I've seen it actually happen with other people.

Ok... now that's out of the way and I hope you understand the gravity of copyright, if you want to choose your own Stock Photos and or you want to save a little money, choosing and buying your own photos is an option. However, please understand that a professional eye for appropriate images on your website is an important factor! But, if you feel you are capable of choosing nice images and you have the time and energy to do it, Stock Photos is the way to go.

There are many Stock Photography sites on the web but I use and currently recommend depositphotos.com. If you just want to buy a bunch of photos for your website there is no need to get a subscription, just buy a "On Demand" plan (1 time pay). You can get 25 images for $99 ($3.96 each) or 100 images for $299 ($2.99).

Once you get an account with depositphotos.com you can log in and create a "Favorites" folder of all the images you want to use. Then, either you can download these images and forward them to me or I can log in to your account and directly download them. Note that these images are very large so downloading them and forwarding them to me will take some more effort. Best method is to let me download them directly.
